Everything in life is driven by only 3 things: Time, Energy and Money. Although Time is linear, we have no control over time itself, but we do have control over our use of time. Money on the other hand has an energy of it’s own and we will have to talk about it in detail soon.

Energy however, is an entirely different game. Everything is energy and energy is everything. It is endless and self recreating. All things in our lives are made of energy, all tangible things have an energy source. Read More→

Washington Irving said; “Great minds have purposes; others have wishes.”

Each of us have tremendous potential residing within us. Some find the potential and nurture it, others find it but let it go, others never find it and still others never even look for it.

But regardless of who we are, what our circumstances are or the life we have lived, the potential is there for us all. I believe the underlying difference in the manifestation of huge successes and the lack of success, is that some people attach purpose to their potential and create amazing results while others live life haphazardly, never finding a purpose for their intentions.

When you live life with a purpose, you are adding rocket fuel to every goal, every intention and and every desire you can imagine. Your life becomes focused and on track. Your thoughts, your actions, beliefs, decisions all reflect the purpose you have attached to your life.

But some people never establish their purpose. They can not “find” anything to get them hugely excited and something to give them the motivation to succeed.

Too often, I am reminded how hard it is for some people to find their purpose. They believe it should be something grand and world serving. But a true purpose is something designed to simply leave the world in a better place than it would have been without you.

For example, I will share my true purpose with you

“To demonstrate to everyone I encounter the Best Possible Version of Me”. Now that may seem very convoluted and vague, but I feel it is very powerful. There was a time when I wanted to save the world and help thousands of people to change their lives. This is still a very important goal of mine. But by demonstrating the Best Possible Version of Me to the World, to everyone I encounter, I am being a leader who can make a difference.

It puts ME in a position to lead by example. How can I possibly help people if I can not demonstrate the possibilities in and through my own example?

Purpose simply puts your train of life on a solid track. It gives you something to work toward, something you will accomplish through who you are and who you are being. It is not necessary to have a grand and elaborate purpose, especially if you can not see yourself actually in the vision of the purpose itself.

So seek a purpose for yourself that YOU can grow with. Something in life to drive you and motivate you, something you can very excited about. Once you can bring purpose into your everyday life, your goals, your actions and decisions, your life will suddenly change.

The rocket fuel of purpose can take you anywhere you choose to go in life.

It is a known belief in the Personal Development arena the words we speak can affect our results exponentially. With this in mind, we knowingly make a concerted effort to speak words of success and abundance in order to attract these things into our lives.

But, here is another consideration for you and one which has the potential to dramatically effect your results immediately. We all have those little instantaneous thoughts which can make us feel less than successful or empowered. Sometimes, those little thoughts can actually create destructive results for us, simply from the words of destruction we conjure up in our minds, or maybe the lack of commitment to ourselves and our goals.

Those little instantaneous thoughts should be considered as words of destruction. This is an overwhelming concept, so please stay with me on this. I promise you will find it extremely powerful.

Thoughts and words all come from emotion, but there are times when emotion controls not only our words but our thoughts and bring about some very negative results for us. When you are confronted with anything in your life you do not agree with, something resulting in a feeling of frustration or anger, or anything which might make you feel less than the person you choose to be, you are in danger of bringing negative results into your life. Those little fleeting thoughts of doubt, worry, concern or aggravation are controlled by negative emotion. And, negative emotion is more damaging to you than any words you knowingly speak.

Stop and think about it for a moment. Have you ever played out a scenario of how you are going to handle a situation in your mind? Have you ever imagined “getting even” with someone who has hurt you, or have you ever daydreamed of revenge? These things do not just go away. They take up residency in your mind. In contrast, the words you speak are often said only once or twice, while the revengeful, negative and powerful thoughts we attach to scenarios hang on for an extended time.

Thoughts are emotions and emotions are what determine your energy and your vibration. If your thoughts are consumed with negative energy, then what you are “putting out” to the world is negative energy and therefore your results will be negative.

Any level of negative emotion will only hurt you and your results. This emotion will frequently consume us for days and holding on to it will alter your outcome and your results dramatically. In order to manifest positive results into your life, you must eliminate the negative emotion.

You must let go of and eliminate any negative energy you are giving out to the world. Just let it go. When negative emotions start to show their ugly heads, just eliminate them immediately with positive emotion. Yes, it can be done and when practiced becomes quite easy. Make a point to attract only the things you want into your life. Make all of your thoughts intentional. When your thoughts are controlled, then the words are controlled and the end result is the accomplishment of some major positive results in your life.

Several years ago, when my husband and I decided to move to Emerald Isle, NC to experience “Ocean Front” living, we knew there would be adventures ahead of us. Of course, we were thinking more in the form of hurricanes and swarms of beachgoers. We also knew we would have a whole new perspective on nature.

The constant changing of the beach is certainly something we expected with the wind and surf. We knew the abundance of wildlife in the form of birds, porpoises, sharks and even an occasional whale would be a moving experience for us. But it never occurred to either of us we would learn so much and be so involved in the lives of Sea Turtles.

These beautiful, graceful, majestic and meek creatures find their way to our little island in the Southern Outer banks to lay their nests each summer. In the still of the night, they come on shore and find the perfect spot to entrust with their eggs. Unfortunately, with the ever increasing numbers of tourists and the debris they leave on the beach (umbrellas, chairs, awnings and even kayaks) and the enormous holes dug in the sand, the likelihood of the mother laying her eggs or the hatchlings surviving the process have decreased dramatically.

When we first moved here, I became involved by volunteering with the Sea Turtle Protection program. I would walk the beach in the very early hours to find the tracks of turtles and report any nests I might find. I and the other volunteers would then step in and protect the nest until hatching time. Once hatching time came about, we then do all we can to help the little guys get to the water.

This year, with the passing of my husband, I decided to ramp up my participation and coordinate the volunteers for the stretch of beach where I live. This increased involvement has brought me to an entirely different level of appreciation for these creatures.

Earlier this week when a nest in my area hatched, I was overwhelmed by the determination of these 84 little babies who emerged from the nest with determination and focus. They knew only their goal and immediately took on the challenge.

The tiny turtles, who have only a 1 in 1000 chance to make it to adulthood start their lives with a “never give up” attitude. They are not stopped by fear of the challenges they face. They do not question their decisions or change their minds. They trudge forward and onward without hesitation.

Their journey from the nest to the water can be very long one. They encounter the danger of birds and crabs who see them as a delicacy. They endure the possibility of being stepped on by humans, being baked by the sun or even being distracted by the light of homes which pull them in the wrong direction. But they carry on, totally determined. Once in the water, the danger they face is unimaginable to humans, but it does not stop them.

Focused only on their goal, they know their destination and even though they are just over an inch in size, they are determined to get there. They sometimes get sidetracked by obstacles, but we nudge them in the right direction and they continue on.

So, what was the lesson? When I coach people on the unlimited possibilities in their lives, I am always surprised at the limited beliefs, holding people back from their destiny. Unlike humans who stop, balk and even run from every challenge, every detour and every fear, the little tiny turtles never stop, they just keep going.

Humans are so often totally controlled by the environment and the people around them. We limit ourselves with every turn and every decision, never giving our true destiny a chance.
There is so much we could learn from these tiny little creatures. They start their journey with determination and never consider the possibility of failure.

Instead, we often start journeys focused only on the challenge and with the mindset of failure and an expectation of limitation and problems. We too should live our lives with huge goals, determination and focus.

Challenges frequently go away when determination takes their place. Life is full of bumps in the road, but like the turtles, we should stay focused and live the lives we dream of, not to be distracted at every turn. We should set huge goals and stay focused on the attainment of the goal.

Take time today to ask yourself this question, “If I started every day, knowing my goal and focused on living the life I truly desire, with determination and drive, what would my life really be like? What could we really accomplish?

I know of no limits! The possibilities are endless.

All great accomplishments in history began with the imagination. The imagination is the single most powerful tool we have in our mental and physical arsenals. Nothing is by circumstance, you accomplish what you actively and creatively see in your mind’s eye first.

People often ask me what the most important thing they can do to assure they reach their goals is, and I ALWAYS answer “just Imagine it”. Call it visualization or imagination, it is all the same. But nothing great ever happened without it first being seen in the imagination.

So how do you use your imagination to create something phenomenal? And yes, anyone can do great and phenomenal things. It may be in sports, finances, art, or in relationships, but until it is imagined, it is never accomplished.

Here is a simple 5 step process to use. Take out pen and paper and go through these simple steps:

1) Ask yourself; “What do I really want to do?”
Write the question down and think about it in detail. Do not think about what you have done in the past. The past has nothing to do with your future. What do you really want to do?

2) Assign a time line
Once again, do not think of the past, and especially, do not think about the “How”. Think only about what you really want and when you want it. It should be within 1, 3 or 5 years, or may even be as early as next month, but make sure you put a time line to it.

3) Write a detailed description of doing this thing.
Spend some time using your imagination and write out what you want. But here is the “key”, it must be in present tense. I have or I am are necessary. Be very specific. Use your imagination and create every bit of detail surrounding your desire. I like to refer to it as “my perfect day”, with this “thing” being the centerpiece of your perfect day.

4) Why do you want it?
Get clear on this. You must have a powerful why. Sometimes, you will find in this step that you really do not want the thing you have imagined and something else comes up as more important. If this happens, start from the beginning again.

5) Apply the power of Gratitude.
Beginning immediately, everyday until your goal is achieved, be grateful for it. Spend some time each day being grateful for everything you currently have and for the goal you are working toward. Your gratitude must be in present tense. I am so happy and grateful now that I …….

This may seem to be a very simplistic approach, but it is a very powerful one. Anything your imagination can see, you can achieve. But the achievement of things comes through faith and belief. Believe that your intention is yours. The fact that you have put time and emotion into creating your intent, makes it a very powerful force. So just believe. When you can believe, you can and will receive.

I hear it every day, people really want to get out of their jobs “Fire their Boss” and be free.

Time and again I hear it:

“I want to get out of the Rat Race”, “I want more time with my family”, “I want a more fulfilling life”, “I want more money”
…. I want, I want, I want…

My answer, is Just Do It! Just Fire the Boss, get out of the rat race, have more time with your family, lead a more fulfilling life and have more money.

If you think it is not that simple, then I am compelled to graciously inform you “You Are Wrong”.

I do not claim to have the magic pixie dust answer for every problem or to have a unique solution to every challenge. What I do claim is this; the secret to success at any level and any activity lies within it’s simplicity.

Here are a few Simplicity guidelines to assist you in laying the groundwork to Fire the Boss.

1) Simplicity of a Vision – Knowing what your destiny is, knowing the end result of a journey, knowing the outcome is a simple process, however, digging deep within yourself to find your purpose and your vision may take some effort. But once the vision is created, the results lie within simplicity.

2) Simplicity of decision – before you can have or accomplish anything, you must make a decision to do so. This is a very deep one-sided commitment to your vision. It is a “My Only Choice is Success” decision. This level of decision removes any chance of failure from the equation. Once the deep seated decision takes hold and you are driven by the vision then you are capable of taking a simplistic approach to the next step.

3) Simplicity of Action – this can be a tricky piece. Most people make the mistake of thinking massive action, 24 hour action, life consuming action is what is necessary. However, the action which is driven by the vision and the decision would be focused action. Simple and consistent steps moving you steadily toward your goal or your vision.

4) Simplicity of results – keeping things simple allows the Universe to put things into motion toward your end or your vision. When we over complicate life, it becomes muffled and hap-hazard.

Simplicity is very powerful but should not be confused with laziness. By the simplicity, I mean to stay focused. Anything can be accomplished when you are focused and working continually toward a goal.

This is why so many Entrepreneurs are able to fire their bosses very quickly, because they have created their vision and stayed on a simple forward moving course. It is also the underlying reason successful people are able to make decisions very quickly, simply because they are driven by their vision and focused like a laser beam on their action.

Give it some thought, start to dig inside yourself to find your vision and then take the simple approach. But I must warn you in advance; when you do this, more than you could have ever imagined will start coming your way.

To your success…

Personal Development is a life changing journey, not a destination but a journey of creating your life to fit your design. It is a journey that is completely within your power to control.

Too often, people think they are working on themselves because they are broken and need to be repaired. This is in no way true. You are who you are and where you are because it is where you should be right now. It may not be where you choose to be, but where you are is directly related to your current and past thinking, who you are inside and the choices you have made. It in no way reflects on the future and where you can be 1 year, 5 years or 20 years from now, it is simply the past.

This is the challenge we face. Instead of giving energy and effort in fixing ourselves, we should focus on molding or creating ourselves to be exactly what we really want to be. We must have a solid vision of what we are creating and go about the process of creating it.

In order to do this, we must have a solid Personal Development regimen to guide us so we can get the most out of our development. The universe likes speed and once the alignment of your desires, your goals and your actions are in alignment, things can happen very quickly.

Here are a few steps you can take to get the most out of your development:

1) Have crystal clear goals – know exactly what you want. The more specific the better.

2) Write out your goals everyday – Spend time first thing every morning to set your goals into your subconscious mind. Write them out…

3) Visualize your goals. See yourself in possession of whatever it is you are working toward.

4) Read good books, books that will help you get what you want.

5) Practice diligence. As I tell people I coach in my business, “the only way you can fail is to quit”.

If you want something badly enough, it is worth commiting to yourself the diligence necessary to have it.

Draw yourself a clear map of the journey you are on. Develop a daily plan of operation and stick to your plan.

If you do not have the level of commitment to accomplish your goal, then possibly you are working toward the wrong goal. Spend quiet time every day to meditate on your goals and make sure the goals you are working toward are what you truly want.

“It takes someone with a vision of the possibilities to attain new levels of experience. Someone with the courage to live his dreams.”
- Les Brown

Truly a remarkable and insightful quote. Les Brown has in two simple sentences “nailed” the primary reason most people do not reach their goals in Home Based Businesses.

In order to have any level of success at anything, one must first of all KNOW where they are going. You must have a clear and definite VISION of what their success will look like. This Knowing creates an energy to flow into and drive you to your goals.

Secondly is the courage to live dreams. Having something you do not currently have, regardless of what it is… money freedom, time freedom, sports, relationships or anything else that drives us, requires immense courage.

What you want is yours, but you must have the courage to step out of your box and claim it.

“To have something you have never had, you must do something you have never done”. Choose to have vision and courage in every area of your life.

To Your Success…

What is the Law of Attraction, Really? It is, in very basic terms, what you give “energy” and focus to will come to you. It truly is that simple, but those of us who use the power of the Law of Attraction in our lives everyday to create the results we desire, have learned many little processes to move the results faster toward us.

I would like to share one I have just recently started using. When I started this process, I was absolutely amazed at the positive energy created inside of me, therefore into the Universe to move me much closer to my goals.

It is very simple, just ask yourself, “Who is Benefiting by ME Reaching My Goal?”

Sounds too simple, right? Well it isn’t. Let’s walk through the process.

Let’s say one of your goals is to rent a vacation home in Florida for the winter. Now, I am not talking about just any vacation home. How about 5,000 square feet, pool, jacuzzi, decks overlooking the ocean, sauna, boat and on and on and on. This home is truly something special and rents for a mere, let’s say $10,000 per month. So, you want it for 3 months.

Now, stay with me here. Even though our goal is not the $30,000 to rent the house, it is the feeling you will have while in the house you are actually going to focus on. What you want your goal to look like when you visualize it is what does it feel like to be in that house. This may be difficult for some, but this little exercise will only add fuel to that energy, that feeling if you will.

So, how do we turn the jet fuel on for this goal?

We have all heard many times that you are only going to be as successful as the level of service you provide. Sometimes our goals may seem a bit self serving, such as this goal for the vacation home. But the service aspect applies not only to your business, but to your goal as well. To evaluate the level of service for this goal, ask yourself;

“Who will benefit from me renting this house for three months?”.

Obviously you will and your family and friends or whoever stays with you in the home. But, here is the jet fuel part…

Let’s go a little deeper and list some others who may benefit. Now this is only a partial list, but as you go through this, get creative and you will be amazed how fast this list grows for you. As you go through this, tap into the energy you will generate by knowing how many people you are helping and assisting.

The most obvious first:
- The homeowners
- The Reality/Management company
- The Landscapers
- The Cleaning Staff
- The Linen Service company
- The electric company
- The Water company
- The Gas company
- The Cable company
- The Telephone company
- The Pool maintenance company
- The Golf courses
- The local gym

Now some not so obvious:
- The local restaurants
- The grocery store
- The gas station
- The Theaters
- The local shops
- The local hairdresser
- The local manicurists
- The local dry cleaners

Are you beginning to feel the energy?

How about:
- The employees of the companies listed above
- The children of the employees
- The places where they shop
- The churches they attend (their tithing)
- The community charities they participate in (their level of giving)

Now do you get it?

Making the decision to have this one goal, may seem a little selfish at first and maybe you do not feel you deserve it. But, when you look at how many people you are affecting in just that one community, you owe it to yourself and the community to accomplish this goal.

Take this to the level of the new car you want, or the house you want to build. Everyone who is affected, deserves to have you accomplish this goal. Goals are reciprocal. Every time you achieve a goal, other people will benefit from it. But you must realize the effect your goal will have on the world and the community.

You owe it to many other people to go for and achieve your goals. Your passion and energy to achieve the goal is a direct reflection on their lives.

It is very important for you to realize that you DESERVE to be rich. It is the rich people who feed and support the world. When you back away from goals because you feel selfish or undeserving, you are doing a dis-service to your community.

What would happen to this world if the rich stopped buying and spending? Now, here is one more little point I want you to get…

CELEBRATE your successes and the success of others. Never feel any negatives toward the successes of others. When you see others who have something you are striving to accomplish, get excited for them. Express gratitude that yours is on it’s way and be thankful that your turn is getting closer.
